The North Carolina
Envirothon is a natural resource education program for
both high school and middle school students. It is an
outside oriented program in which students work together
in teams of five, learn to use critical
thinking skills, work together as a team, develop
problem solving solutions to enhance communication and
increase observation skills to answer written questions
or conduct hands–on investigations about our natural
resources and environmental issues. The program focuses
on five areas of study: aquatic
resources, forest resources, soils/land use, wildlife
resources and current environmental issues.
